Food Processing Exhaust
The Quickdraft Venturi exhauster is an excellent solution for a variety of exhaust processing applications in the food industry, including ovens, microwaves, fryers, blanchers, freezing tunnels, mixers and baking applications. Quickdraft Exhaust Systems are especially effective for high heat, grease and oil applications; offering dependable, consistent exhaust with far less costly maintenance downtime. We often add a Quickdraft demister vessel as the filtration device for the oven or fryer exhaust. The demister uses a three-stage process to remove grease and oil from the exhaust air. Proper exhaust flow often results in significant increases in production yield — an increase of up to 10 to 15 percent reported by customers with ovens that are retrofitted with Quickdraft exhaust systems.

4Exhaust Filtration & Odor Reduction
Carbon Filters
- Removes odor from the discharge
- Uses a mixture of activated carbon and potassium permanganate
- Filter media is contained in several “trays” that slide into the housing
- Trays are arranged in a chevron pattern to increase effective surface area
- Access doors allow the media to be easily replaced
Demister Filter
- A three-stage process is used to remove grease, oil and particulate from the exhaust air stream
– Knockdown and Velocity Reduction are used to slow the exhaust air stream and allow larger particles to fall out of the exhaust flow
– Water spray showers located at optimum locations are used to “scrub” the airflow of grease, oil and particulates
– A specially designed series of Demister filter pads capture as much of the remaining grease, oil and particulates as possible. - Filters are heat-resistant, woven-poly material several inches thick
- Frames allow the cleaning crew to easily remove and reinstall for cleaning
- Filters are made from various materials based on the maximum temperature of the exhaust
