Food Processing Exhaust
The Quickdraft Venturi exhauster is an excellent solution for a variety of exhaust processing applications in the food industry, including ovens, microwaves, fryers, blanchers, freezing tunnels, mixers and baking applications. Quickdraft Exhaust Systems are especially effective for high heat, grease and oil applications; offering dependable, consistent exhaust with far less costly maintenance downtime. We often add a Quickdraft demister vessel as the filtration device for the oven or fryer exhaust. The demister uses a three-stage process to remove grease and oil from the exhaust air. Proper exhaust flow often results in significant increases in production yield — an increase of up to 10 to 15 percent reported by customers with ovens that are retrofitted with Quickdraft exhaust systems.

4Exhaust Filtration
Demister Filter
• A three-step process is used to remove grease and oil from the exhaust air
– Velocity reduction and centrifugal separation are used causing the larger particles to fall out of the exhaust air and the grease to fall out against the vessel sides and bottom.
– Water spray showers are used to “scrub” the airflow of grease and oil
– A specially designed Demister pad filter captures as much of the remaining grease and oil as possible.
• Filters are heat-resistant, woven-poly material several inches thick
• Frames allow the cleaning crew to easily remove and reinstall for cleaning
• Filters are made from various materials based on the maximum temperature of the exhaust
5Water Recirculation
- Significantly reduces water consumption in the Demister
